The Undergraduate Business Mentors Program assists first year students in their transition to Stony Brook University. Peer mentors encourage academic, social, and community involvement and facilitate student access to campus resources and activities. The program fosters a sense of community and positive connections among the students, staff, and faculty of the College of Business and the greater Stony Brook University Campus.

Participating in our mentorship program opens the door to a well-rounded support system designed to help you thrive both personally and academically. Through meaningful connections, skill-building experiences, and ongoing guidance, you'll gain the tools and confidence needed to navigate your college journey and beyond.
Through participating in this program, mentees will:
Become more connected to the College of Business and Stony Brook University.
Gain skills to become independent, and experience positive self-discovery.
Enhance their academic success and persistence as a Business Management major.
Be provided with a consistent and reliable source of ongoing, trusted support.

Develop Leadership Skills, Connect with Faculty, and Build Your Network
As the backbone of this program, our peer mentors play a vital role in shaping the student experience while developing their own potential. This position offers hands-on opportunities to strengthen key leadership skills, engage with faculty in impactful ways, and form lasting connections with a supportive team of fellow mentors.
Through their role, mentors will:
Develop strong leadership, communication, time management, and other soft skills to further their professional growth.
Develop close connections with College of Business faculty and staff that will help prepare them for life after college.
Connect with fellow mentors to form a strong, supportive community of engaged student leaders.
