General Tips For Success:
- Engage & Recruit Members: Be intentional about building community. Host socials, engage alumni, & create opportunities for connection. Be sure to update you SBEngaged page with information on social media, meeting times, contact information, & respond to membership requests.
- Stay Informed: Complete trainings, meet with your advisor/s, & check and read emails from SEA closely to stay on top of policies, event, and budget management.
- Be Visible: Follow up with students who message you on social media & SBEngaged, & connected with you at Involvement Fairs. Collaborate with other organizations, and use social media/SCALA screens, etc. to showcase your work.
- Plan Ahead: Stay organized with your calendar, request funding, book spaces & plan events early, & adhere to all deadlines!
- Lead With Purpose: Connect your organization's goals to the bigger picture of leadership, service, and community impact at Stony Brook. Make your mark and do your part!
