Colorectal Cancer Screening (CoC)

Beginning at age 45, all men and women should be screened for colorectal cancer. CoC is often symptomless so screening is important. Fast Track Screening

Be Screened for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)

Stony Brook Medicine's Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Division provides screenings free-of-charge for eligible individuals. Screening is simple & non-invasive. 

Prostate Cancer Screening

Early detection offers the best chance for long-term survival. Stony Brook Urology's Prostate Cancer Program offers free screenings throughout the year. Free Screening

Gastrointestinal Women's Center at Stony Brook

Female gastroenterologists and an all-female staff provide expert evaluations, diagnoses & treatment for GI conditions/disorders in women including Colorectal Cancer Screening

☀️ May is National Skin Cancer and Melanoma Awareness Month

Skin cancer is usually the result of sun exposure and childhood sunburns in addition to cumulative sun exposure. Awareness

☀️ Skin Cancer and the Dark Side of the Sun

Most of these 3 types of skin cancer are caused by exposure to ultraviolet light primarily from the sun; only a little over half of American adults use sun-protection measures.
