Directed by Jean Philippe Toussaint. A slippery sports/romantic comedy, this witty homage to filmmaking is the latest production of cult novelist Jean-Philippe Toussaint. Set on a real ice rink, featuring a narcissistic American star and a Lithuanian hockey team who don’t speak a word of French, Toussaint details the whimsical mishaps that befall a film director, as he and his crew frantically struggle to complete a symbolic sports opus in time for the Venice Film Festival. Starring Dolores Chaplin, granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin in her debut performance.
