Hailed as “the dean of Latin jazz” and “one of the world’s greatest virtuosic pianists” by The New York Times, the Cuban multi-Grammy award winning Valdés returns to the U.S. for a rare appearance, performing with his fantastically inspired ensemble, The Afro-Cuban Messengers.  Chucho’s Steps won the Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album of 2011, and is one of eighty CDs in a prolific career. Chucho Valdés has performed with countless jazz masters including Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis and Chick Corea. He continues his illustrious career with the U.S. tour and an inspired night of jazz at Staller Center.
