LINDA EDER
IN CONCERT
Saturday, March 5,
2011 at 8:00pm
Main Stage - $42
Showcasing
one of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, Linda Eder’s
diverse repertoire spans Broadway, standards, pop and jazz. Classic
songs from Garland, Streisand, Sinatra and many more music icons will be
featured in “An Evening with Linda Eder.” Her powerful, soaring voice
will bring an eclectic mix ofhow tunes to life.
Her leading
role as Lucy Harris in Jekyll and Hyde was a role she played in over 900
performances across the country before the show landed on Broadway. She
starred on Broadway for 16 months, winning a Drama Desk Award for Best
Actress.
Linda launched her recording career in 1991 with a self-titled
debut album. Since then she has recorded and produced twelve solo
albums—each a blend of songs showcasing her extravagant vocal gifts. The
concert stage remains the mainstay of Linda Eder’s career and she has
performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Davies Hall, Radio City
Music Hall, Wolftrap and the Ravinia Festival and has collaborated with
Marvin Hamlisch, Michael Feinstein and Keith Lockhart, conductor of the
Boston Pops Orchestra.
Join us
at Staller Center and hear Linda Eder live. As Howard Reich, the Tribune
critic wrote, “…electronic documents cannot capture the thrill of
hearing Eder’s glorious, larger-than-life instrument.”
