The Turtle Island String Quartet, formed in 1986, synonymous with cutting edge, adventurous interpretations of everything from classical chamber music to jazz to Jimi Hendrix and beyond. The Ying Quartet, siblings, natives of Chicago, celebrating their tenth anniversary season, received the first National Endowment of the Arts grant to support chamber music in rural America with a residency in Jesup, Iowa in 1992. What brings these two groups together is a love of musical exploration. Join us for this exclusive and powerful collaboration between two string quartets at the top of their art.
